Travel is not just about places—it’s about the stories you collect along the way. Recently, I embarked on a solo journey across Siberia, exploring Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yakutsk, Irkutsk, and Vladivostok. It became one of the most memorable adventures of my life.
✈️ The Journey Begins
📍Moscow cityscape / Red Square
My trip began in Kolkata, with a flight via Abu Dhabi to Moscow, where I stayed for a day. Walking through Red Square and seeing the golden domes of the Kremlin was the perfect start.

🏛️Novosibirsk:
From Moscow, I flew to Novosibirsk, the “capital of Siberia.” The city surprised me with its vibrant culture, wide boulevards, and impressive Opera House.
🌄 Krasnoyarsk: A City That Stole My Heart
📍Stolby Nature Reserve or Yenisei River
My next stop, Krasnoyarsk, quickly became one of my favorites. Hiking through the Stolby Nature Reserve and watching the mighty Yenisei River flow through the city was unforgettable. This place truly captures the wild beauty of Siberia.
❄️ Yakutsk: Life at the Edge
📍 Yakutsk streets in snow
Then came Yakutsk, one of the coldest inhabited cities on Earth. Even in summer, there was a chill in the air. The resilience of the people and their warmth despite harsh conditions left a deep impression on me.

🌊 Irkutsk & Lake Baikal: Timeless Beauty
📍 Lake Baikal’s clear waters
Irkutsk, with its wooden houses and historical charm, was another highlight. But it was Lake Baikal that truly stole my breath away. The world’s deepest freshwater lake, with crystal-clear waters and endless horizons, gave me a sense of peace like no other place.

🌉 Vladivostok: The Final Chapter
📍Russky Bridge / Golden Horn Bay
Finally, I reached Vladivostok, a port city where Europe meets Asia. Standing on the Russky Bridge, overlooking Golden Horn Bay, I felt a sense of completion. It was the perfect place to end my Siberian adventure.
From there, I flew back home via Beijing and Singapore, carrying with me memories that will last a lifetime.
💭 Reflections on Solo Travel
Traveling solo across Siberia was more than a trip—it was a journey of independence, courage, and discovery. Each city taught me something new, but Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk will always hold a special place in my heart.

Siberia may not be the easiest destination, but it is one of the most rewarding. For those seeking raw natural beauty and authentic cultural experiences, this land is a treasure.
🌍 Final Thoughts
My Siberian journey reminded me why travel is so transformative—it challenges you, inspires you, and leaves you with unforgettable stories.
If this journey inspires you, I’d be happy to help you plan your own unique adventure—to Siberia or anywhere else in the world. Because sometimes, the most unexpected journeys are the ones that change us the most.
